This just cracks me up.  They totally pissed off their biggest supporters by not thinking through on the consequences of their legislation.  The sad thing is that the R. party has totally put political ideology above common sense.

That "Gay Love" cartoon is homophobic. No kidding: comparison between homosexual mariage and zoophilia or any weird philia is homophobic.

Or, maybe, I haven't understood this cartoon.

It could have been a throwback to comments that Rick Santorum made about gay marriage.

“[I have] a problem with homosexual acts, as I would with what I would consider to be acts outside of traditional heterosexual relationships . . . if the Supreme Court says that you have the right to consensual [gay] sex within your home, then you have the right to bigamy, you have the right to polygamy, you have the right to incest, you have the right to adultery.” –Rick Santorum on gay sex, AP interview

“In every society, the definition of marriage has not ever to my knowledge included homosexuality. That's not to pick on homosexuality. It's not, you know, man on child, man on dog, or whatever the case may be. It is one thing. And when you destroy that you have a dramatic impact on the quality.” –Rick Santorum, AP intervie

Oh, yeah, I didn't think about it...

But who is Rick Santorum? Confused
Damned, now I have to know all American politics or political observers to get the joke!

Fun fact: in France, we have elected politicians who said more or less the same things.

The Bors cartoon was mocking those opposing gay marriage who often trot out this false idea that allowing gay people to marry will lead to things like that.
