Today I listened to their new album "Elegies to Lessons Learnt", which has just been released ... I really liked it very much. Have a listen yourself: http://www.myspace.com/iliketrains

Big%20smile (or rather Cry, since their music is a bit on the depressive side ... Wink)

^ seriously, I'm considering to add the tag "funeral" on my website. Typically this type of sadness is found in some Doom bands (hence the label "Funeral Doom"), but this band aren't about metal at all, let alone Doom Metal. It's a quite unusual combination of styles!

I have one of their mini-albums. I love the singer's voice, but they sound a bit too indie for them to be Post-Rock, In my opinion.  I've only heard one album so I can't make a valid decision.

I'll re-listen to them again to see how much my view on them has changed. Smile

BTW, they're not THAT depressive.Wink And I thought Funeral Doom was because of their slowness instead of sadness...

^ I only heard their latest album and read the review in my favorite prog magazine ... and I saw their tags on last.fm, the most dominant being "Post Rock".Smile

btw: I was kidding about "funeral" ... I probably won't add it as a tag because it's not intuitively clear what it means musically.LOL

I think they'll fit nicely along with Immanu El. Both bands focuses on vocals, but their sound is definitely post-rock.

There's a problem though, Jimbo is the member on the team who adds bands to the chart and he's on a break for the time being and GoldenSpiral hasn't been very active lately so that leaves me pretty useless when trying to add bands unless they were already cleared for addition. Cry
