I'll see if I can find you some Rouge Ciel.
As for Rascal, yes they are on our list to add to PA, definitely, you're right.

I have one Volapuk(Polyglot) and Interference Sardines(Zucchini ) album, but have never heard of Candians Rouge Ciel.I will check them out, thanks.
Have you heard of the Rascal Reporters? They would make a great addition here,I was surprised they weren't already in the archives.

Fantastic bands you're mentioning there, Jody, that's great.
Rattlemouth have released a new album this year but I have yet to hear it.
Nimal are brilliant, I like them a lot.
I don't know if you tried Volapuk or not, but they're also very good.
And you will probably also like the Canadians Rouge Ciel and Interference Sardines.

So first you come in here making snide remarks and then making it sound like I'm to blame.
If you're not being seriuos about your posts, make it clear. First you come with your snide remark and then post about your superoprity of listening to prog for 30 years and then come as if you were the good guy all along with your post about being half-joking.
And that's the thing, how can you expect me to treat your remarks when you yourself say you're half-joking and the rest of it is half-serious? Am I supposed to take the Blood remark as a joke as well? Do you even read your posts?
About this being serious, well you should be more aware of your posts, either make them serious or not and make them clear what you mean. How am I supposed to understand what you mean, when you yourself say you're half-joking???
Nice work of taking the blame of yourself, very good.

Make your posts more clear (and say you're joking) and everything will be fine. Don't act as if it was solely my fault.
You didn't strike a nerve, you were being funny to yourself, but not to me (I saw it as being rude and out of topic) and I didn't see anyone else laugh (James as well didn't see the joke). Edited by avestin - December 11 2007 at 17:15 |

Well, how am I supposed to know you are joking? And since you're only half-joking, that means you were half-serious as well, so I wasn't that off, wasn't I?
About the sensitivity, let's say I came into a thread you made (say about a prog-quebec band which I hold dear to my heart actually as there's no genre here in PA I dislike and in fact listen to all and love all, but for the sake of argument), let's say I came in and started saying "what are you talking about, is this progressive? I know better!".
I don't own the truth about what prog is, as does no one else, since I read and hear many different versions of it, and while there is common ground for 70's prog, there are controversies about the more experimental stuff and other current acts.
Anyway, the "prog" term is not one that has unanimous agreement upon as this site and others can attest to. I also don't think some of the bands in the PA database are progressive rock bands (perhaps related) but I just don't bother with them so much as there's plenty more here that is to me (the main point is to me)
I apologize if I was too harsh in my comments!

Well then I don't know what I've been listening as well.... gee how wise was that comment, eh? Making myself as if I was less smart but really intending to say otherwise....
Am I supposed to bow to you for your 30 years of expertise?
Well then if that's the case, I'll start doing the same for my expertise in other matters in the forum, since it seems to be the way to go.

Well then I guess I don`t know what I`ve been listening to for the past 30 years or so. Then again, I wonder why many other bands are here.

It is progressive rock and very good too. There's quite a lot of symphonic and classical based moments in there as well.
An excellent album, I must say, but I need to give it many more listens for it to sink in fully. |
