Topic: The Sound Of Animals Fighting? Posted: January 28 2008 at 00:52 |
I have been listening to this band lately through a friend and was impressed with the way they put together their albums. "All of the parts of the album Tiger and the Duke were recorded individually and each member was only able to hear the part they contributed to the album. The only member who heard the whole album during its recording process was Balling." Kind of a cool concept. apart from that i wasnt too into what i was listening to, though i liked the song skullflower (nuerosis sampling?) They're way to neo punk emo ish for my taste but i can hear some progressive qualities. Thoughts? very interesting band.
EDIT- ok i like the music and instrumentation, its the vocals that annoy me. 80% of the vocals (i have tiger and the duke). ive heard lover the lord has left us is much better.

The vocals are annoying. Can't really think of where they'd fit in here, but then again I would've said the same for Woven Hand, Deerhoof, Muse, Radiohead, and The Decemberists...

ha ha true... if they do get added i think they'll get dropped (regrettably) into related. i just wanted to hear some opinions on them, prog, not, good, bad, etc. since LastFM labels them prog but relates them with bands like Chiodos, Saosin, and Circa Survive.

They're already on the list of bands to be debated.
