So, which Volapük album do you think is the best?

Personally, I think Where is Tamishii? is my favourite and the best musically but I know how many people love Polyglot (so do I).  I just like the quirkiness of Where is Tamishii? more and the use of Fukushima's vocals add that extra bit of thrills.  Guigou Chenevier has enlisted some wonderful musicians for Volapük and compositionally some of their music reminds me of Japanese bands like Kam-pas-nel-la and even some Zeena Parkins from Skeleton Crew.

I would be interested in your opinions, especially you, Assaf!

	The only one i know is "La Feu de Tigre" (sp?) , honestly the first time ilistened to it i couldn`t dig it, but later i even enjoyed, though its not my cup of tea.

	Just saw this thread. When I go home after work tonight (provided it's not too late, which I am afraid it will) I'll have a look at my cd's I have from these guys. However, I'll say that Polyglot is excellent! I'll post again after going over what I have and having a short reminder listening session with those.

	Where is Tamishii and Polyglot are my favorites too. A slight preferance for the former right now, because I discovered it a little later than their other albums, and been listening to it a lot lately. Its the most uniquesounding by them too. Slang is brilliant too. Nothing wrong with their debut or the livealbum either. Actually I heard the debut first, and fivestar'd it a little to soon. After hearing the rest of their albums, and more similar music, I probably rate it * and a half. But I'd give both my mentioned faves *** each.

	Although Fukushima was on Polyglot, she has a more important role on Where is Tamishii? and that's why I prefer it. I love the Japanese and eastern influences on it. Le Feu du Tigre is excellent too, of course. In order: 1. Where is Tamishii? 2. Polyglot 3. Le Feu du Tigre 4. Volapuk I've yet to hear the live album Pukapok, but I've just ordered it, so I hope to hear it soon. An excellent band and far more consistent than other bands that have dabbled in a similar sound, like Zao and Speed Limit (although they started as Zeuhl bands, of course). That would be great if you could do that, Assaf, but no rush, I look forward to reading your views on these excellent albums.
