Hi again.

Has anyone suggsted the entry of PEDAL GIANT ANIMALS in the Archives yet? This eclectic prog duo of Stankey Whitaker and Frank Wyatt is the bridge between 2000-era HAPPY THE MAN and OBLIVION SUN. Some of their material can be heard at http://www.myspace.com/pedalgiantanimals and http://www.pedalgiantanimals.com/pga.htm (samples section).

    Kind regards.

I'm finally listening... Will edit in impressions.  Difficult with such short smaples..Some Canterbury stylings, symph, pop, AORish music, progressive metal etc.  It may have too much pop/ AORy stuff for Eclectic.  Something to think about.  Gotta say that I don't think Eclectic is that well-suited based on the samples at their site.

You tried the samples of the official website? It covers the full album.
Those different styles (minus the metal, I'd say) sounded good enough for me.

I listened to both... Yeah, I was editing in impressions/ thoughts, first on myspace (which is the short samples I was referring to then, would have explained better, but I was called off) and then I listened to the samples from the whole album at the site.  And I do have a problem with the quantity of poppy material.  I will need to reevaluate Oblivion Sun now.  Even with short samples from the whole album, which i listened to earlier, it's not as good for me because I like to hear the structure of a whole track (the styles within it, the contrasts, twists and turns etc. which one finds in prog).
