TOP Albums List changes

Here's a suggestion for another feature:

While exploring the various national scenes, I tried to get an overview of how the African continent was represented in ProgArchives. Not surprisingly, it's not very heavily represented. I did a similar thing to Oceania, and made a lot of interesting new acquaintances. But a lot of the countries, in particular in Africa and Oceania, but also in the other continents, are empty - they have no representation. And that made me wonder if they perhaps should be grouped together to make browsing easier?

In other words, in order both to make the geographical browsing feature more accessible, and to raise the awareness of "underrepresented" or not-so-known areas, how about grouping countries together in continents? In addition to the existing functionality, of course. (gnosis2000.net has a similar function, but not very user-friendly.)

Perhaps even with the possibility to exclude the dominant nation, so that the UK wouldn't dominate all European lists, Japan all Asian and US  all American lists?

Excellent work with the main top albums link. However, I think the "key 20 albums" in each subgenre should be changed back; the less-popular genres take a huge hit . Especially if there's no option to change the minimum number of reviews...

I'm getting an error every time I try to search with more than one year selected.  Is anybody else having this problem?

Hi M@X. Great job although the Country tab does not work. Is it going to get fixed? I hope so. I want to search for all my favorite Canadian bands!

However, I think this site should learn from www.gnosis2000.net whose top ratings lists are far more flexible. There, you can in addition to filter by the year, also filter by country, or by numbers of reviews - i.e. 1, 2, 3, ---, 10, 15, 20, 30, --- , 70. I find this to be very useful. (Then again, this site has a genre filter, which gnosis lacks.) So, recommandation # 1: Make another dropdown menu where users can filter the top lists if they prefer another number of reviews than the recommended 25 And recommandation # 2: Make a dropdown menu where users can filter the top lists by country, so as to being able to follow their own national scene more closely. If needed to make this possible (it should really be necessary if the system's advanced enough), then change the nationality variable from being linked to bands to being linked to albums. A little job, but lots of fun.
