Syrius was one of the most underrated/unknown progressive/jazz rock band in the world.

The band was formed in 1962 in Hungary, but the "Great" lineup only came in 1970.
Personell:
Miklós Orszáczky - Bass, Vocal, Guitar
Zsolt Baronits - Winds
László Pataki - Organ, Piano
Mihály Ráduly - Winds
András Veszelinov - Percussion
(After 1971: Tibor Tátrai - Guitar)

In 1971 the band got an invitation from an Austrlian manager, so the first LP "Devil's Masquerade" was recorded in Australia.
They played covers from other bands ("All right now", "21st century schizoid man", "Hey Joe", etc..) and composed a lots of own material.

Their suite called "Shattered Dreams" was planned to open the newly built Sydney Opera House - as a contemporary ballet. They had to travel back to Hungary, and shortly after they got a second chance to travel to Australia, but they never managed to get back due to personal problems.

After 1973 the "Great" lineup had broken up, after that the band played contemporary jazz/funk.

(Sorry for my bad English.)

Sure, they would deserve an inclusion, more than some arena filling bands from my country...
