I've Held off doing this for a while. Not a creative poll, but I'm not feeling creative. If you don't know Heldon, the streaming track at PA's HELDON band page is very good.
"Held on, nothing's the same. Tell me why I feel this way...." Incidentally, -- not that it's important -- I'm rather surprised to see that Heldon hasn't one album that has an overall rating of 4+, though Stand By comes close (if it had been titled Stood By, then that would have made for good held-on punnery). Someone has got to help and bring support to this thread of the venerable Logan
Sadly, i just own 2 albums: Heldon 2 and Heldon 4. I also own 2 cds from PINHAS associated with Peter Frohmader......not easily accessible.....but captivating when you get into!
My vote: Heldon 2...how can you not vote for an album that includes a track ''in the wake of king Fripp''?

This is a band that really surprised me at how good they were.I usually start from the beginning with a bands discography and work forward, but with this band i did it the other way around. I love "Stand By" especially the first track which might be their best, but my favourite album is "Interface". Fripp has to be Pinhas' biggest influence as Febus has touched upon with the title of that song. Those two records i mentioned are full of angular guitar.I really like the soundscapes he creates though.Highly recommended band. I put off checking them out for quite a while because they were listed under electronic prog.A foolish mistake.

I think Interface. used to be Stand By but now its no longer in my top three. None of their 70's albums are rated over four stars, but there really shouldn't be any rated under four at all.
And what's with the 2.81 for Its Only Rock and Roll? Were people actually expecting to be rock 'n' roll or what? |

As much as I love "Interface", "Un Rêve Sans Conséquence Spéciale" has to be the Heldon-lover's dram come true.
Kind regards.

No all of the above, or more than one of the above option? That was remiss. Oh well, I won't complain.
I'll give another vote to Un Rêve... (thought it might be top for Top), though I've found myself listening to the excellent debut the most of late. I'd quite like to do a dance remix of Electronique Guerilla called Techno Gorilla. hehe. I also like Interface very much, and some I don't know, including Stand By. "Oh darling, darling, stand by me, oh, stand by me, stand by me...." What terrific line-ups Heldon had. |

Well I only have three but three good ones :
Interface, III and Agneta Nilsson . I like all of them but Interface is "incroyable"

Stand-by. First heard it in the late 70's courtesy of Mr John Peel, it got me into Heldon, so I bought Un reve...........ect and Interface, later I managerd to get RP's Iceland, East West & Le Ethique, recommended listening to all. Now in the age of cd I'm after the lot!! Heldon a very good band, not really picked up by the rest of the prog/kraut rock scene, yes I know they are French, but they were so close to being kraut rock!
