I just LOVE Wounded Land...keep coming back to it, time and again..
...Entropia would be a close 2nd...

Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson

S.U.S.A.R. sure is not bad, but I prefer Entropia over it and all of the others. Almost unfair for me, since Entropia is also my favourite album of the band. I especially like that lyrical and musical concepts are more balanced than on later albums. There are some other good though..

Out of Myself and The Final Experiment are great. I voted The Final Experiment. Entropia is good, but I think Pain of Salvation has some better albums.

Oceanic is not Isis' debut.
I'm undecided between Pelican, Riverside and Pain of Salvation.

I dont own many of these choices, but I think Indukti´s is quite good! Entropia is also a good debut album

Unlike many other genres in music I think metal bands rarely make a good debut album. They tend to "progress" slower in that way. It´s not usual for metal bands to hit it off with a bang, which happens quite often in other genres like symphonic for example

Although DT is my favorite band, I don't listen to / like WDADU that much because of the vocals..so my vote goes to Opeth

I don't know nearly enough to vote. I do like S.U.S.A.R. considerably, and the other one I'd be most interested in is Maudlin of the Well's debut (I do like the follow-up considerably, and like Kayo Dot muchly -- now if you had Kayo Dot's debut (love it), but perhaps that would dominate the poll overmuch).

ha ha Panopticon came AFTER Oceanic. you meant Celestial which is very very good by the way From the list id have to say pain of salvation. Entropia is incredible, particularly for a debut.

Out of Myself was a very nice breath of fresh air to me. S.U.S.A.R and Entropia are my personal runner-ups.

To me, The First is Riverside, and the second is Threshold. Two albums is fantastic to me.
