I got for $3 each, Renaissance - Ashes Are Burning, and Kansas - Song for America; north in vinyl.
As for my most recent "new" purchase, it would be Sidus Atrum's Spiral of Life and Cold Silence (not prog) on CD which shipped straight out of Ukraine.

I listened to the rare one-off album by the Dutch prog band Machine for the first time yesterday, and I went into Oxfam Music in West Bridgford today and it was there on the CD rack for just £2.99. How amazing is that!??

I bought my least favourite Marillion album today: Misplaced Childhood. I couldn't resist buying it though at the bargain price of £1.49 from Oxfam Music in West Bridgford. The only problem is, I won't be able to get the irritating ditty "Lavender's blue, dilly dilly" out of my head now.

What a wretched video. My god the 80's produced some absolute sh*te ! I could have shot this a thousand different ways that would be better. I've always found Marillion to be more pop than prog. Unless someone can suggest their proggery stuff?

The early stuff (Script, Fugazi, Clutching) is certainly them at their proggiest. (I'm not sure what else you heard but Marbles (the 2disc version), Afraid Of Sunlight, and Brave would be good to hear) Childhood's did up the pop factor a bit, but it is neo prog so some more straightforwardness isn't unexpected. But yeah...after a certain point (I would say after Marbles) the prog quotient was dropped significantly.

VDGG is certainly worth the time and effort. But yeah...I do this as well. Sometimes you find a band that you probably should like but for whatever reason dont so you keep trying, hoping to break the spell. I find it rarely works
