Fiona Apple - The Idler Wheel ...
Fiona Apple - Tidal
(Will purchase When the Pawn ... next week.)

EDIT: J. Newsom's Ys is beyond the estimated delivery date. It says that it's "in transit". What the hell is happening with the carrier?

Are you new to those two artists?

Both are excellent female artists that i enjoy very much. Ys is a progressive folk masterpiece, and her debut is whimsical folk music that draws you in.

Fiona is the only artist that i own every album on CD, those two are excellent choices though i'd prefer to start with Pawn instead of Idler.

Thumbs Up

^ Very new ... fresh as a morning dew. Heard only one track from Joanna (though I really didn't like her voice, though I'm willing to bang my head 'til the wall breaks) and a couple of tracks from Fiona ("Daredevil" sounds real juicy Thumbs Up). As I said on Fiona's thread, wanna get her 1st, 2nd, and 4th efforts. Don't wanna wait for more goodies from them on Last.fm.

Interestingly, I just got my first two Fiona's last week as well...and Ys is one my all time favorites, Joanna is amazing, although lm surprised you bought it if you didn't like her voice (it's the only one she has got after all)

^ Yeah, I can still remember you praising Joanna for her talent. And like I said, I'm willing to keep on trying to appreciate her musical chemistry. There are just times when I listen to something for the second time, and it may not sound the same to me as the first time (which is odd), so it all may change for me on the second listen.

alt-J - An Awesome Wave

Yeah, so I got this album yesterday after hearing all the hype about it. It definitely lives up to it, really good stuff. I had heard about these guys for a while now, but this is my first good listen. It's sort of a unqiue mixture of Indie Rock, Electronica, Soul and Art Rock, but they execute it in a way that's so fresh and natural. I'm glad I picked it up, and I'm looking forward to the future of this band. Highly recommended.

Just bought this Ibanez GSR200 bass guitar for $200 as my entry-level buddy - my first bass guitar. Not too shabby, I must say. ... Well, yeah, any guitar you put your hands on for the first time doesn't seem to shabby.

The result of a couple of spending sprees for my birthday last week.  That Ved Buens Ende album is an original pressing and probably one of the most sought after black metal albums of all time.  I can't believe I actually found a copy.
