Hi all,
Finally got up a myspace page for my ever-going prog project.  I only have one song up now, but hopefully by the end of the week I'll have another up which is a ten minute epic.  If you like it (or even if you don't!) add me to your friends or leave a comment, and be sure to check back soon because I'll keep it updated!

Here's the link:

The songs to come will be even more symphonic, proggy, and diverse, so enjoy!

Just an update on my project, several new songs have been added.  In addition, I will be featured in American magazine Guitar Player.  Please stop by and check out the music, and be sure to let me know what you think of it!  I would really appreciate the feedback of guys who know what 'real' music is Wink.

enjoyed 'Adjudication' and 'Apocalypse', reminds occasionally of Jordan Rudess, Robert Godfrey's work with Enid and Craft, and young German composer Dominik Mueller..  well done, keep it up and may I suggest changing the first cut on your myspace to either of the two I mentioned

Thanks for the complements.  Apocalypse actually was the first song for a while, but a couple of people said it sounded like generic prog metal and I didn't want that to be people's first impression so I switched it.  I may have to reconsider now thoughWink

Apocalypse is cool, it could be made into a monster if we all pull together as a team.

Interesting stuff, and definitely varied. 'Adjudication' matches the film music for a Tolkien story. Not surprising, with a title like 'The Eldars are watching', but somehow you nailed it.
'Apocalypse' I would say is beyond prog metal, but I can understand why you get those reactions.
'The Sound of One' is almost modern pyschedelic, and a bit boring to my ears - but that could just as well be my current mood rather than the music.
'Departure' I expect is the intro to something else? It's one of these short intermediate tracks that bridge the epics of a concept album. Is Floydesque a word already?
'Labyrinth' is a bombastic mix of guitar rock with bombastic keys. A bit much for me today, but definitely well done.

I'm with David on what sounds best I guess, but I'm interested in hearing more for sure.

EDIT: Could you change the name of this thread to your band name? Try by editing the first post, and if you can't let's involve an admin. It makes searching easier, and it is part of the guidelines for this forum section.

Wow you pretty much described my intentions with each song right on the mark.  Departure is in fact a transition from 'Apocalypse' into 'The Sound of One', and Labyrinth was meant to almost be too much to take in upon initial listenings.  It represents the protagonist's stream of consciousness thoughts, and by this point in the story he is a bit off the deep end.  The song itself structuarlly is meant to be a sort a labyrinth (maze) for the listener to 'get lost' in, in a sense.

I really appreciate the positive feedback, guys.  I am going to try to set up a download on the myspace page of the full album really soon, so be sure to check back soon.

Just a bit of an update, the debut album Journey to the Edge of Infinity: Chapter One is available for download from the myspace page listed below.  I'm going to try to set up a free download soon because I really want everybody to be able to enjoy the album, though I'm not sure how to set up a free download.  If anyone knows how please let me know.  If you do download the free download, I only ask that you give me an honest opinion of what you think- I really want to know that people are enjoying (or even disliking!) my music as motivation for me to keep working.

PLEASE HELP IF YOU KNOW HOW:

I want to set up a free download, preferably from the myspace page but doesn't have to be, for the whole album, but I am not sure how.  I searched various places such as Google but cannot find the answer.  If anybody knows how please let me know!
