I've had my biggest wastin' yet back two weeks ago, in Austria, with my buddies. 8 beers, and I was unable to pronounce the letter "R" until the next day. Wacko Not to mention that we missed the 2 AM night bus, and had to got by foot an hour long, not being able to tell the street from the sidewalk apart. Embarrassed We emptied three six-packs of Gössers and Murauers combined.

The best beer I have in my fridge right now is a Michelob Irish Red Ale.  And only one of them.

Now that's saying something.

A tres tasty Belgian-style strong ale on lees, from Quebec's world-class Unibroue brewery.

They make many such very fine, gourmet beers -- the Quebec border is just 2-3 hours away, and just an hour from there to a large town and supermarket....

Last summer, I went there on my bike, on a whim. When I got home in the evening, and my wife asked where I'd been, I replied ''I just went to buy some beer." LOL

She wasn't too impressed -- apparently next time I do such a thing, I should tell her my plans first, and bring a cell phone.Embarrassed Ah yes -- responsibility! Unhappy

Maudite means "damned," BTW -- drink two or more (large) bottles of this strong stuff, and the next morning you'll think you have been! Wacko

SmileRemember this one, Jim? Even stronger:

"The End of the World" -- aptly named! Shocked
"And, has thou slain the Jabberwock?
Come to my arms, my beamish boy!
O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!'
He chortled in his joy.

I am quite simply immune from hangovers when it comes to beer.  No kidding.

However, this sucker-

Just a couple of those and the next morning I was feeling like a Hobgoblin was tap-dancing on my skull.

Very aptly named - too many of those & the bottom may not fall out of your world, but the reverse may well be the case

I remember it, indeed (nearly 2 years ago) , I also remember someone had the kindness to check its quality first

If you ever get the chance, you must try this absolute blinder (and I use the word advisedly):

Thornbridge Jaipur IPA - a fairly strong one, but the taste is astonishingly good.

Peer pong yesterday.

Keystone Light.

Second game.

Threw up in cup a little.

I focused on liquor from then on.

End story.

LOL! Any true Quebecer has drank a fare share of MAUDITE!!! Its so damn cheap, and quite tasty (not to mention 8%).

However, the main diet of any true Quebecer, is in fact LABATTE BLEU!

Another good Quebec beer is "Belle Geule", meaning "Nice Mouth"

Labatte Bleu is touted in some regions of America as a gourmet import.  LOL
