Everybody intrested in progressive music known who this guy is, so no introduction. His solo albums are in diffrent styles from symphonic prog to avant prog to pop prog and his last two are even more towards prog rock but with prog metal leanings. So my question is : Coste Apetrea must features here on prog related zone or not????

It was a fairly straightforward request for evaluation in the CZ. Edit: I'm sure he will be added in good time. The PMT are extremely busy people with a whole host of bands to evaluate and add.

Coste Apetrea in Prog-Metal?! Judging by b_olariu's description Eclectic would be a better fit, I haven't heard his solo stuff myself though. |

Bogdan, you could help the team immensely if you could write the bio yourself, and send it to one of the team members. Then you can add all the albums, if you want to.

Well we can always add them to progressive metal and move him later if need be...
We have a similar thing with Chris Brooks also I believe, he's approved but probably more suited for JR Edited by Plankowner - January 12 2009 at 01:06 |

Costea is more fiting for eclectic or prog related, because only his last 2 albums has metal influences, but the early ones is not prog metal at all. He has albums from pop to jazz+avant rock with prog rock.

I'm bit surprised by placing Apetrea Coste in PM, I have to admit I'm familiar with only one album, but it's much closer to McLaughlin (absolutely acoustic, folksy and jazzy).

As I said Coste Apetrea is not prog metal, first album is jazz - folk, on other two albums is more pop prog and jazzy, on his last two Costea is toying with prog metal, but the jazzyer side of prog metal. I think is ok for prog realted, because of the many styles he has on all the albums, or more fits for eclectic.
