Hey there,
this is Johannes of Discorporate Records. I just stumbled to this page. Apart from senseless discussions about the difference (and dogma) between mathcore and mathrock, it's nice to see people discuss music beyond the propaganda-chain. If you like THE SEASON STANDARD, you should definetely check out the new band in Discorporate's Roster: CAPILLARY ACTION from New York - www.myspace.com/capillaryaction They play in Paris April27th!!! Have a nice day, Johannes |

I think these guys could be welcome in several different genres here on the 'chives. Jazz-Rock, Mathrock, Eclectic, etc. Surely they would be added SOMEWHERE.

Damn, having read mathcore in there, I was expecting some metal.
Great music though, nonetheless, but that was mathrock/jazzcore, not mathcore/jazzcore. Mathcore is technical metalcore, and there wasn't any metal in those myspace samples, that was math rock instead. Have you guys asked what the Math Rock Team thinks of it? |

Hey mono,
It just happens that The Season Standard is already being discussed for addition, we just don't know for sure where to put it (what's your personal opinion?). So keep in touch over this. |

Hello,
This post is dedicated to all Discorporate Records bands, especially "The Season Standard". This band plays a very technical mix of Mathcore and quirky jazzcore. Check them out on their myspace: www.myspace.com/theseasonstandard I saw this band live along with: - Zarboth (drums & guitar from France) : www.myspace.com/zarboth - SchnAAk: (drums & guitar from Berlin) : www.myspace.com/schnAAk All are worth being here on PA and are fresh unknown (but signed) bands. |
