I am talking about the band lead by Red Hot Chilli Peppers guitarrist John Frusciante. They have released two studio albums called " Automatic Writing" and " Automatic Writing 2". I don't know what do you think about this but I can hear some psychedelic/ krautrock influences like AshRa tempel in their music.
Do you think they could be labeled as prog related??

I'm listening to this (unofficial) myspace page: http://www.myspace.com/automaticwritingii
Won't comment at this time other than to say it's good. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable than I will post. Incidentally, John Frusciante solo has been suggested before. |

Not sure about whether they fit, or not. But I love some Frusciante solo work. The DC EP just totally floors me....absolutely brilliant emotional songwriting.

What do you think of The Empyrean?
My favourite album is curtains 'but I'm still not so sure on Empyrean though the track which struck me straight away is Central. |

Haven't heard that one....I just have DC, Curtains, Sphere, and the weird one with the long title. Have only played DC recently though, I've ignored large chunks of my collection since I began writing so much about Italian stuff. Many of my CDs hate me for neglect
