I'm torn between Tangerine Dream, Kraftwerk and Can on this one.

I think it's Triumvirat. When I was in high school I plyed thegrooves off of Spartacus. I liked the Eloy album I had, Inside (a very good album indeed), however I'm very partial to the faster pased syncopation and melodic intricacy that I heard from Triumvirat, as opposed to the slower paced spacey style of Eloy. It has a lot to do with the drumming. I think Hans Bathlet was great. I'm not a fan of space rock drumming.

Triumvirat for me

I never post anything anywhere without doing more than basic research, often in depth.

Triumvirat are good, but Eloy are very good, and one of the first prog bands I remember hearing long ago on the Friday Rock Show, so they've been with me for a long time, along with Tull etc.
Eloy for me!

Exactly, the poll is about these two bands, not all german bands, like Kraftwerk, TD, Can and Amon Düüll.

Eloy is unlistenable due to zee unberribble prrronunsssieshon offf zee lyrrrricks.
And I really mean unlistenable, it makes me want to curl up under the table with stomach cramps, lying in a pool of vomit. (A bit like a normal Friday night, I suppose)
Oh, and I like Triumvirat.
