Dear members of the progarchives forums,

Just when I thought my love for Van Der Graaf Generator and Peter Hammill couldn't grow any bigger...

it did!

I am even beginning to love "Nadir's Big Chance", which used to be my least favourite PH album (although I only have three).

THIS IS A CALL TO ALL PEOPLE WHO HAVEN'T HEARD OF VDGG OR PETER HAMMIL: CHECK THEM OUT NOW!

sincerely,

Joren van Ree

You won't believe me, but I haven't listened to it yet.  I try to listen to their older stuff a bit more before I play it... I haven't heard all of their past stuff yet.

Start with H to HE...
This includes Lost.Which is the preamble to their magnum opus,A Plague of Lighthouse Keepers which is on Pawn Hearts.
H to HE... also includes other VdGG classics such as The Emporor is His War Room,Pioneers Over c ,Killer and the stunningly beautiful House With no Door.Robert Fripp guests (in a restrained manner)on both albums.
If you are not too eager, these albums plus The Least we Could Do...are being re-released remastered and added to at the end of May.

Do 'The Stanley' otherwise I'll thrash you with some rhubarb.
