2 former grunge vocalists, which I admire their voice A LOT.

Who do you prefer?

Eddie Vedder.

I like both their voices, but I've seen Vedder perform live with Pearl Jam and he's an excellent showman.

Cornell, easily, though I'm not really familiar with the Audioslave output.

Though Cornell probably has a more powerful voice, Vedder's is way more distinctive, so I voted for him.

Vedder... Pearl Jam has a warmer sound and I dig that. Cornell is more of a powerful hard rocker, it's respectable but not my style.
Plus Cornell is partly responsible for Audioslave....Dead

Vedder by light years.  I always thought Cornell to be so artificial somehow.

I'm more into Vedder. PJ and Soundgarden both are those "I own a couple of records and really should listen to them more but somehow I never really feel like it" bands for me. I also have Audioslave's debut, Cornell sounds very out of place on that record. But I love You Know My Name, the best Bond theme song after Duran Duran's A View to a Kill. But yeah, maybe I like Vedder more because he sounds more honest and down to earth.

Cornell's voice is incredible though I've seen video of shows where he is really off.

Vedder also has a great voice but just not as rich as Cornell's.

Oh yeah, they're both at least minor prima donna headcases. Wait, they're lead singers. That goes without saying.
You are quite a fine person, and I am very fond of you. But you are only quite a little fellow, in a wide world, after all.

Well I go for Eddie, he simply has a wide range, or at least a wider way of 'expressing', rather than Chris which sounds similar in almost all songs.

Exactly the other way round for me. I've always been a huge fan of Cornell, especially his first solo album.

BTW: Independently of which one of those two singers is your favorite, you should definitely check out Temple of the Dog.Big smile

I don't dislike Cornell, but his voice is not THAT unique. Eddie Vedder can produce a deeper feeling (if controlling himself enough to avoid whining you could expect from someone with this type of voice).

I think Chris's last....8 years have been filled with bland music.  But before then he was awesome.   Eddie was great too, although I didn't like the last PJ album, or even both to check out that movie soundtrack. so......I dunno. They were both pretty awesome.
