I red in the paper this morning a review of a new album from Kenekajse (it got 3/5) and had to check if it was true, and yes, their first studio album since 1979 is released today!
Kebnekajse was one of the leading acts of the progressive scene in 70s Sweden who became famous for their interpretations of traditional Swedish folk tunes. After some changes in musical directions and band members they broke up after their "Vi drar vidare" album in 79. The core members (the six out of eleven members that was on most albums) reformed in the early 00s and has toured Sweden since, and now release a new self-titled album.
Here's from their official homepage, where you also can see the track list:
EDIT: I should add, the musical style of the new album is the same as on their most popular second and third albums; Folk Rock based on traditional Swedish music.
