Not my favorite from them, but definately one of the better albums I've ever heard! My last fm. charts say that I've listened to this album more than any other, and I very proud of that too.
I call this one their breakthrough album, becuase they dropped the incredibly heavy doom sound from their first two, and succesfully learned to utilize both brutality, and ambience in the music, which propelled their music into a whole new spectrum of listeners, and became very popular in the underground world. This one is easily their most ambient, every song has a very soft, slow section, and unlike Somewhere along the highway, which concentrates on more post rock textures and atmospheres, these songs try and set a mood of darkness and an overwhelming feel of emptiness.
My favorite is waiting for you, the first half is so chilled and easy going, but when the group turns on, my blood starts boiling! I love it!
