Well,if he posts regularly for 7 days without upsetting anyone,Reed Lover will go forever!!
I always keep my word....
But what is the forfeit if he does continue?
|
That's a ballsy bet. I'm sure you're an honest man in these situations.
How about the forfeit is... hmmm.... uhhhhhh... I'll give up and go on to bigger and better things? Maybe?
|
Nah.
The forfeit is that you wont allow yourself to be coerced by bullies on either side in future....

reed why am i not allowed to discuss with someone without you interrupting? i didnt mean any disrespect in your viewpoint, infact when expounded upon the way you just did it makes alot more sense to me...thank you for sharing that, that is the point of a conversation i thought....we talk these things out to come to a sound understanding of the issue, and by questioning we are sometimes led into a deeper explanation ,hence understanding....you are right about the post as i obviously had that preconception, but your response(after my questioning of your initial response) is waht allowed me the greater understanding to walk away from the conversation with some of the previous MISconceptions exposed and a more elevated viewpoint....thank you....this doesnt mean that i agree with the laws 100% but i can attempt to justify them with much more facility |
I was having a go at DB.....................and this is a public forum, and private conversation should be done by PM.

it is you who offers the debate. im assuming your fielding the question in the manner you did that this was a feeling that you had.
did I say its not a problem, by offering jobs to minority parents they are able to help with their childrens, childrens, children to get a better education and be better qualified. you offered a different viewpoint, I offered mine.

many other reasons can be sited for the problems with American productivity than under qualified minorities. this seems to be a narrow viewpoint you are representing. reverse discrimination doesnt have much of a leg to stand on yet! maybe you are young and facing adversity and blaming it on lack of opportunity? ADVERSITY BREEDS CHARACTER

agreed , but i do not believe that the current system does anything near to that, and i believe it does serve in fact to create reverse discrimination...i think the effort should go toward the communities and schools these groups come from in order to get them to a place where they can be more qualified than the white guy is, or consistently as qualified rather

I think the current system is the fairest for all!. If you want to have freedom for all then if one race is coming from a lesser opportunity you should balance the scales. Bringing opportunity to those who have less of a chance. Why should a certain race or class represent the outcast. Easy to point your finger at races or groups when you put them all in the same box, a better test is to see how you wear his shoes. The major problem that I see is that corporate America fills all the minority jobs(90%) at the workforce level, leaving the trouble of working together through differences at the worker level. The old we'll hire em but they arent working with me attitude. If you are going to proclaim equal rights it should be at all levels.
