I hereby nominate St. Louis-based post rock/math rock trio Blind Idiot God for inclusion in the archives. Their music is a blend if experimental post rock, math rock, & oddly enough, dub. They worked extensively with both John Zorn & Bill Laswell during the 80's & 90's.

interesting stuff, could be considered Postrock but I kinda doubt it, definitely not Math (they're tagged as 'experimental' which is true but not helpful).. hard call, maybe Exp/PostMetal, they remind me a bit of NeBeLNeST but they're in Avant which I don't think BIG would fit in

I suggested them a while back, for Math Rock, though they have the basis, it might be a stretch, but I do think they could be considered as contributers to the development of that sound. Maybe Avant...

They ended up on Avant Records towards the 90's, though I know that doesn't necessarily constitute them as an avant group, & while they definitely exhibit somewhat of a tendancy toward avant, I don't think they belong there. When the songs are heard in full the math rock feel really comes across a lot stronger than that of avant, but they do somewhat transcend that genre as well.
