Ahh, so he appeals to Europeans, like that highbrow comedian Benny Hill. Wink

I never said he was highbrow and I'm pretty sure you ripped that off a family guy sketch lol I don't think he's to "intelligent" for Americans. It's more purely Ali G is one of many British stereotypes, though to be honest the stereotypes of Cockney Youths are completely influenced by American gangster culture. In my eyes you had Bill Hicks,we had Monty Python. Both I treasure deeply.

But I won't forgive you for Dane Cook............That I can't do.

Just looked and saw Devon... I'm going down there in a week's time

But since you looked out and saw grey clouds, I don't think I'll be expecting a change in weather. It's just rained here

Nah for real though (I use that one a lot nowadays), I'm quite surprised at Americans liking Ali G. There's a lot of Brit humour in there

I went to see Bruno last evening and I really enjoyed it:I like his way to play with clichés and be politically incorrect.I spent the whole film laughing moreover such film is welcome in sad times like this!

Yeah, I find it juvenile at times. But I thinks it's a great bit of fun that strays away from the not-so-juvenile things blotting out my life at the moment

So is some of my sense of humor.  Loved his Alli G interview with Andy Rooney, who so did not get it.

Ali G on UK TV when he started was fresh and funny - In Da House one of the biggest disappointments ever.  Borat on TV nothing special - great Movie tho. Not seen Bruno yet but if it's all gay stereotyping and fashion in-jokes I guess i won't bother.

Voted Ali G for the early TV stuff
It's not that I can't find worth in anything, it's just that I can't find worth in enough.

Same here, I'm afraid. I think he is a completely unfunny little t**ser who simply parodies and stereotypes peoples and people in the most unfunny way. Satire is fine - I've read Private Eye for many years, but good satire has to be funny and cutting. His is neither.
Making people uncomfortable or embarassing them is not funny.  Maybe if I was still in middle school, but not now.

What he said.  There were a couple points I laughed at in both Borat and Bruno, but overall I can't say I found them very exciting.
