people who tend to use the word "boring" often, ought to look up thesaurus alternatives to express themselves. Stern Smile

^ Such as this tedious display of mundanity, unrelieved by a banal attempt at eloquence via embellishment?
That, my dear, is a prog sentence.Wink
...a vigorous circular motion hitherto unknown to the people of this area, but destined
to take the place of the mud shark in your mythology...

Cooee! You indirectly are accusing me of trying to use "expensive" words, as I understand, to impress others? This is not true.
You are very naught Dark Elf, yes I play around with words at times but mind you, English is not my first Language however words do fascinate me. I honestly think that the creative use of words to express ourselves opens our imagination and creativity, to me it does Wink
Now before you run away again, hug to you Hug

GregW,
I tend to disagree with your hypothesis WinkI too have a short attention span however prog genre keeps me entertained, focused and interested (depending on the band of course, considering that prog music has a vast number of genres) WinkHug Hug

I have a short attention span too, and that's why I like ever changing music like prog.

Rednight, instead of being a moody just ignore them. The smileys are here for purpose and here to stay. If I make you nausea it's your fault, turn away and you'll be fine!

Having a good day! But wait. Emoticons winking, smiling, hugging. Feeling like a "moody" and losing the capacity to ignore. What purpose do Emoticons serve, and will they be here long? "Nausea" and can't find fault as to why. Fear turning away will bring more Emoticons. Again, getting sicker. Help, please!

It's because theres nothing that can pull the new listener in unlike a pop song, it doesn't have that "hook"
so they end up loosing focus.

I'm a huge prog head I find theres a lot of prog songs I have to listen to few times before I can really get it.

1) Short attention span
2) Prog doesn't repeat the word "baby" 56 times in 3 minutes
3) Prog is hard to dance to
4) Most people don't want to spend a lot of time trying to "get" a song
5) Prog's not trendy enough

Two random guys agreed to shake hands. Just Because. They felt like it, you know. It was an agreement of sorts...a random agreement.

You could even sum it as 'its a bit weird' and not 'cool'. I get fed up with the idea that soap operas on TV are proper dramas. They are not and most music is not proper music its just some manufactured nonsense that conforms to some stupid idea of what is current and trendy. The world is a stupid place and we all know it!
