Many reviews have compared Luca Olivieri to Brian Eno. I think Crossover is the right sub genre.

Although, personally, I have seen in 'La Quarta Dimensione' also echoes of Vangelis, who make up to me to define his music as PR.
 
But, in definitive view I think that Luca Olivieri's best Prog sub genre is Xover (because not totally distant from Oniric style).
