When you are in a tremendous need of new prog music and the only thing you can find to satisfy your hunger is video game music and then you discover Tim Follin.

When every word people say makes you think of a song and you can't resist singing it out loud and everyone stares at you like if you were from another planet...

When you spend hours listening to other people's music, good or not, just "to show them one song." They of course have no idea what their walking into, and you know they won't like it anyway, but you just want to see their face.

Whenever you one of your favourite books, you try to imagine what kind of concept album it could become (Flatland and 1984 for me :S)

At dinner, you find yourself singing "Banana. Banana. Banana", then you realize that your parents are staring at you.

When someone shows you a Sega Genesis and you start singing Supper's Ready for a joke and he doesn't understand. Happened to me today...

I've done that! Also I like to headbang in 7/4 (or is it 7/8?)

Seven IS a jolly good time. Big smile

Ahh! Time to show off! The difference between 7/4 and 7/8 is that the accent in 7/4 is on every second beat just like in 4/4, only with 7 beats. 7/8 the accent is on the third (one two THREE four five SIX seven and all over again. Actually looking at your comment you might know that, well now you know it more!

Eh, yeah that's one way you could phrase it, the fun thing about 7's is that there's quite a few ways to accent them.

You are extremely upset by the fact that the last song on the album that has a run time claims to have a duration of 15 minutes but in reality has 10 minutes of silence Cry

What's wrong with that?  I once wanted the Lark's Tongues in Aspic symbol as a tattoo!

Alas, after forty years, I lost my enthusiasm!

When 4 of you are really getting into a piece of music, then 15 minutes in, another comes in & says "what's this ?"

It happened... Hatfield & The North's 'Mumps'

Indeed!  That's a Manson bass I'm playing in my avatar photo!  I lived & worked in the Exeter area, 1994-6, and strolled off the street into Hugh's shop once (he may have moved from his old High Street location).

Amazing chap!  We keep in touch now and then, and I'm way overdue to drop by the UK and say "hello!"

Ah, Devon!  I surely miss your land, my friend!
