I noticed that this band doesn't have an entry on progarchives! How can this be? Their album Pictures is definately some of the most amazing progressive albums from the latter half of the 70's, and clearly the biggest inspiration for other amazing bands such as Änglagård.

I will definately submit this band to the webmaster, as it is ESSENTIAL! I assume you all agree with me on this point!

now for Cluster, Michael Rother, Bernard Xolotl,
DOM, Michael Shrieve, Michael Brook, Steve Jolliffe
and Gunter Schickert, then I can rest well!

though the forum may not lead them to the greats, at
least the curious will have the information at hand!

* BUMP *

Moogtron III has kindly guided my attention to this band and I have listened to their The Collected Works cd 1 and I have been enjoying it tremendously.

This really should be getting more attention.

Symphonic Pictures is better than ELP's Tarkus and as good as Alphataurus.

There is no need for this thread to be in Suggest Bands, since this band is already registered in PA.

It can go back to Listening to/Recommendations.

I was wondering why it was moved myself. They are in fact here and have been here for a while now.

I shall listen to the first CD soon Assaf.  It sounds like I love it and I may need that second disc as well!

Well, I do know the later efforts are without Schicke and a bit more new age sounding, correct me if I'm wrong.

Moogtron III said the 2nd is less good.

You shall have it, as soon as I do.

Do you know if Hoyre-Kone albums are easily available?

Ah, yes, I'm tired, I forgot about them!  How do they compare to Alamaailman Vasarat?

Hoyry are more nutty, more experimental, they incorporate more genres in their songs and they don't rely on saxes like Alamaailman.

Not really the same ballpark.

But like most things Finnish. they are excellent in what they do/did. (I have a fettish for Finnish )
