Hey,

I'm a long-time reader of Prog Archives, but I've never posted in the forums.

Hollow Branches is a band with a great pedigree. Members come from such bands as Agalloch, Sculptured, Formloff, and Conversations about the Light.

Our second ep "Anchored in Sleep" is now available for free download from http://www.strixrecords.com
The release can also be streamed at http://www.myspace.com/hollowbranches
Thematically inspired by dreams, insomnia, nostalgia and morning, “Anchored in Sleep” finds Hollow Branches expanding their sound with elements of progressive and post rock, as well as glitch.
If you're a fan of David Sylvian, Landberk, Nosound, Talk Talk or Bark Psychosis, you'll probably like our music.

I hadn't planned on it. When I came to the forums I went to the unsigned section, but after reading the rules I thought I needed to post here instead. If anyone thinks this is good or proggy enough to be in the Archives that would be great.

Thanks, everyone for checking it out regardless!

Has anyone had a chance to listen? I know it's that time of year where time is scarce for people...

Thanks, Harmonium!
The EP is now also available for free in FLAC and a variety of other formats from our Band Camp site. And it's still free.

Do you really have to know my zipcode for a download? Seems a little steep.

^You can get the 320KBPS without a zip code, it might only be the FLAC's.

I've listened to it a few times, and I'd say it definitely sits right in post-rock.

I thought someone might be interested in seeing our recently completed video for the title track off of "Anchored in Sleep."
Filmed in Sjøli, Norway, “Anchored in Sleep” was recorded on no budget at all yet perfectly captures the essence of the track, which is about the isolation one feels in the early morning hours before the rest of the world is awake. This short film was edited by Vegard Stensby.

Many thanks to everyone who has listened or commented!
