Topic: An Eloy Poll Posted: February 27 2010 at 18:15 |
Pick your favourite track from this German monsters. I had a hard time picking one, but today I went with The Light From Deep Darkness. Please allow yourselves to pick another if it is not in the list. I just simply couldn't decide which of these 25 tracks leave out in order to put the "Other" option.

Nice poll!
Illuminations is my pick, followed by Posidens Creation and The Apocolypse.
I really enjoy all of Oceans as well

So many excellent tracks there. Just came down on the side of Light From Deep Darkness.

You inspired me to create a playlist of all these tracks, so that's what I'll be listening to today. 3.8 hours worth!

I might have included A Broken Frame in there from Performance, as being the standout track from that album.

So many great ones to choose from.
Poseidon's Creation would be an obvious choice and I would expect this to win. I've always loved the Silent Cries album, so I'm going for The Apocalypse.

Went with Mighty Echoes. Killer track. I guess the poll wouldn't mean much if there was an "all of the above" option

The first song I heard by Eloy was "Le Reveil Du Soleil" and it is still my favorite. I love the Bass line and the synthesizers.

One of these that I didn't vote for but I've been loving lately is Mutiny from Power And The Passion, a really great piece. However, it's the version on Eloy Live that really smokes.

tough one but I gotta go with Child Migration. The juxtaposition of Khalil Jibran poetry with a seriously hard rock riff, flutes, acoustic guitars, and a surprisingly nuanced vocal by Frank Bornemann make this one an overlooked masterpiece
