Akron is a...very strange progressive rock group from Italy. They play very untypical kind of symphonic rock mixed with doom(y) metal moments (for example strange vocals). Lots of Hammonds, string arrangements and opera-like vocals.

They recorded 2 albums:

line-up of "Il Tempio Di Ferro " album:

Enio "Akron" Nicolini: Bass
Fabio Barraco: Keyboards, Piano
Eugenio Mucci: Vocals and Choirs
Gabriella Saia: Choirs
Lea Palmieri: Drums
Guests:
Antonio De Angelis: Hammond Organ
Gabriele Di Monte: Hammond Organ

audio samples:

review of their second album:

This appears to be an easy add for us, modern day doom-RPI in the Jacula tradition.

Ozzy Tom, are you familiar enough with the group to write us a short Bio?

If not, can you send whatever Bio related facts are present in the CD booklets, to help us cobble a Bio together?

Thank you
