Gramond as an extremely unusual prog-rocker I know. He plays all possible instruments (Hammond, pipe & combo organs, pianos, Moog and digitial synths, mellotrons, guitars, bass, drums, percussons, saxophone, flute, violin), some of them even in the same time (look into youtube so you'll see how to use guitar and organ simultaneously ) and also sing. (Only on concerts he's supported with additional musicians.) It seems he released all of his albums by his private pressing and he also give them all for free downlaod on jamendo website!
Music of this French guy can be only described as eclectic...very ecletic. You can find piano only symphonic albums, proto-prog-like psych ones, early 70' heavy prog, electronic with drum machines, pipe-organ only church-like music, free jazz-rock, progressive metal, aboslutely everything connected with prog rock within last 40 years (but his oldest album seems to be from late 80' in fact so he isn't so old it seems :-).
BTW he also played with band 4/3 DE TRIO which is alredy on PA.
He was already mentioned 3 years ago here:
God knows why he still wasn't added... Such completely non-mainstream, private-pressing, independent from music industry artist like Sébastien Gramond should be especially supported by progarchives!
You can download or listen to all his albums here:
I especially recommend:

I am listening to this and wow... this is AMAZING! This is by far the best thing I've heard since I do the "New Bands" pre-evaluation thing. And some of the best modern prog I've heard which is not math, experimental, post, avant, etc. But I wouldn't say it's "retro". The music doesn't sound like modern Symph to me, that rich Symph sound is lacking but instead we have a lot of avant-ish quirks, jazzy fusion themes (like One Shot), heavy moments, and early prog references. It reminds me of Birds And Buildings' Bentham to Behemoth (which is in Eclectic btw). I'll get back with more thoughts after I listen to more of his music. |

I'm glad you like it. It's a pity this guy seems to be compelte unknown.
BTW if you like him would be nice if you could post some review or only rating on his rateyourmusic website:
It's a shame this guy didn't even have profile there until I discovered him and created it. Unfortunatelly almost no rating posted there. What a pity...

I gave this one a listen too and it's another excellent one! The music is again very diverse, indeed there moments similar to early 70s rock but a lot of other influences too, symphonic, psychedelic, and it also remembers me a bit of Zeuhl related French projects like Jean Paul Prat or Laurent Thibault (especially when the combination of bass leads and dreamy fender rhodes piano occurs). Seems like a case for Eclectic is building. I'll ask the Eclectic team to evaluate this suggestion. |

I'm listening and enjoying it.
Now that I've listened to a significant amount, I feel comfortable voting yes for Eclectic. Edited by Logan - June 04 2010 at 23:20 |

...and now it's added in Eclectic. Oh, and discography too. Some heavy reviewing is due.
