Found an obscure but interesting Italian Heavy / Psych outfit.

Blue Phantom (Italy)

From Augusto Croce's "Italian Prog" ... http://www.italianprog.com/a_bluephantom.htm
A popular album among European psych and prog collectors, Distortions was in fact released in Italy in 1971, along with a single, by a group of unknown studio musicians and later released in other European countries, among which England.
Both album and single appeared in Italy on Vedette subsidiary Spider label, and were composed (under his nickname Tical) and played by Armando Sciascia.

An entirely instrumental album that shows some influences from late 60's psych sounds.

Their "Distortions" I've listened to and felt they be fitter for Heavy or RPI than Psych or Kraut ... IMHO.

It belongs in the Heavy Prog or the Psychedelic/Spacerock-section. Wherever Braen's Machine are.

This track is a little masterpiece:

so is this:

and the rest of the album, really.
Over land and under ashes
In the sunlight, see - it flashes
Find a fly and eat his eye
But don't believe in me
Don't believe in me
Don't believe in me

The samples sound great indeed. If not Psych, Eclectic could also be a home for them - there's a certain mix of psych, heavy and experimentalism in the music that can be considered "Eclectic" also from PA's point of view.
