Whalefeathers was an American rock band which played organ/piano drenched mix of early prog, heavy blues and psychedelia.

They recorded 2 albums:

Declare (1970) - crossover prog similar to frist 2 albums of Yes and other early prog acts (Beggar's Opera, Cressida) with some symphonic touches from time to time
Whalefeathers (1971) - more heavy oriented album with more bluesy feeling. Organ became much heavier and even more omnipresent then in 1st LP. A bit liek mix of Led Zeppelin with Deep Purple's keyboards delivery.  Last song o nthe album called "Shadows" is 10 minutes epic with almost symphonic sound. Long organ intro is great.

line-up:

Stephe Bacon (percussion, timpani, vocals), Ed Blackmon (keyboards, vocals), Michael Jones (guitar, vocals), Roger Sauer (bass, vocals), Leonard LeBlanc (bass, vocals), Mike Wheeler (guitar, bass)

Sorry if you can't open some of these videos. I can't check them by myself (almost all foreign video websites are blocked in China....f**k...)

What Scott was saying is that you can embed here on the forum YouTube videos (just like he has done). All you need is to go to Post Reply, and click on the button I highlighted:

When you click that, a new window will open. I highlighted where you need to paste the YouTube link:

After you pasted the link you click OK, then click Post Reply and voila!

Yeah, that took me some years to discover, too. At some point I thought "hey, what do these buttons (that I don't use) do?" Tongue
