Regarding Yugoslavian progressive rock, for me that's Pjesma no.3 (engl. "Song #3"), from Time s/t debut released in 1972, as one of the best songs recorded in Yugoslavia as well.

Cloak and Dagger Man by Caravan sounds nicely and slightly poppish perhaps.. Gary Numan is not particularly considered "prog", but his Cars carries some amount of progressive DNA, while being a top hit

I've Seen All Good People was my first taste of Yes. I then dove into The Yes Album headfirst and never looked back. That was over 40 years ago and I've been a Yes fan ever since.

ELP is not particularly a favorite of mine, but I think that Lake wrote some of the hands-down best prog-pop with that band: Still...You Turn Me On, From the Beginning, and Lucky Man.

Good call. Probably the finest examples for this thread.

The Final Countdown!
Europe is a prog band?
No, but the Final Countdown is prog pop song. Listen to those synthesizers in the beginning! And it's about migrating away from earth to a galaxy far far away. It doesn't get any more prog than that.
ayreon should do a cover next time

Lots of fantastic prog-pop songs produced in the past few years, for those who want to look beyond the Seventies. Here's a couple of particular favourites of mine:
Check out both bands if they happen to come your way!

^ great choices.
as far as the topic. Easy.
Lucky Man.
Pure pop song, not a prog song that became a radio hit (like Roundabout for example), yet still prog. Unlike other albums one-off songs, this Lake departure from heavy aggressive classical ELP prog, had bite. Showed their considerable musical skills in a pop song format. The moog solo still is awesome, and Palmers air drum worthy performance is out of this world. Find me a pop song where you are inspired to bash at the air with imaginary sticks like that one.
