I can't believe that's a genre!

-No-wave
-New age-classical (how can something be both new age....and classical?)
-Desert rock
-Death-roll
-Psychobilly
-Progressive rock

If I made a band, it would be a gospel metal band. No, not a christian metal band, a band that literally fused hymns with metal.

Here's another memorable one, "sh*tgaze". Prominent enough to have its own page on wikipedia too.
 
 
I don't think anyone's mentioned the oft-mocked Riot Grrrl genre either.
 
Ooh we forgot about Grebo.
 
There's also Paisley Underground which may just be the worst genre name yet.

I'm not sure if we already did electroclash. That was a lot like jungle in that it was tipped as this great big thing that was going to be a huge advent but it barely ever got off the ground.
 
And it's not really a genre but the "garage revival" spearheaded by The Strokes really annoyed me. It was something the music magazines were trying to force onto people, hugely irritating.
