Perhaps we should make a poll to vote if we want this and the Yes polls back functioning as they should.

^ Ofcourse it was meant as a joke. I'm not the first one to make a joke (even if it's a bad one) on the forum.

Atom Heart Mother - Never has such an iconic image been created in such a simple way
(drive into the countryside until you see cows, take a photo of the nearest cow, er....., that's it)

Both Wish You Were Here and DSOTM are iconic covers ouside the world of prog i like them but not so much as Atom Heart Mother and I like The Wall for the illustrations of Gerald Scarfe.

But once again Animals is THE Pink Floyd cover and mainly cos it has THAT iconic building which is surreal in itself.  Although less so since that btch Thatcher helped to destroy it!

AHM, original, iconic, contents unrelated to the music and the musicians... and when you have trouble sleeping, count the cows in the inside Sleepy
Oh, and the udders of course
And after all we're only ordinary beings

Hi,

Considering that the "Animals" cover was not even the original as stated by Storm T ... that's kinda weird and strange, when the original was a lot more important and valuable as a "theme" and "concept" than the eccentric and somewhat malicious cover and comment that the air in London stunk ... just like LA's ... as if we didn't know!

I always thought that the MEDDLE cover was the more important ... but since no one here ever spread out the LP cover and looked at it with a little distance, it's meaning is kinda lost and worthless ... and that is pretty much the history of what Pink Floyd was about!

Even Syd said ... "people have stood, and cheered ... something they did not understand" ... it kinda puts a new meaning on Hitler, doesn't it?
Music is not just for listening ... it is for LIVING ... you got to feel it to know what's it about! Not being told!

Always loved Relics, - quirky and original like Beatles' Revolver
But
Dark Side is probably the most recognised albumn cover ever

Too many great covers to mention all of them to be honest.

I came down to the two poll leaders, and it was almost the toss of a coin to decide.  The Animals cover is amazing, Battersea Power Station is an incredible building.  I've got to go with DSOTM though, probably the most iconic album cover ever.
