Sometimes I hear the lyrics correctly, but make up my own anyway:

Led Zeppelin "Over the Hills and Far Away"
Hey lady
You've got a bug on your sleeve
Maybe more than one
Oh darling darling darling
Wave your arm wildly

I used to think Jon Anderson sang in the choris of Yours is no Disgrace:

"Caesar's palace, morning glory, silly human race" .

I'm not sure what the line really is but obviously i must have misheard it. Smile

Although not a Queen fan, it irritated me when friends would sing "We will we will rock 'n roll", Who in God's name could not hear that lyric in it's simplicity? And then the famous Hendrix screw-up " Scuse me while I kiss this guy". When folks screw up lyrics I don't understand why, unless the singer has a real accent or slurred speech. Funny stuph tho....

listen to opera and try understanding what they sing there. It is very hard, especially with the high female voices.

It actually DOES sound like "Scuse me while I kiss this guy", and he actually would say it live in some shows...

Especially if you had in mind that a lot of operas were written in Italian until Mozart came and then operas were written in German.
Roughly said.

In "Anthem" by Rush, Geddy Lee sings: "Anthem of the heart, and anthem of the mind."  The first time I listened to it, I could've sworn he was saying: "I'm from Oklahoma, I'm from up in Maine."  I figured he was pronouncing Maine as "Mine" because of his Canadian accent.  LOL  I still didn't make sense, though.
"I am the one who crossed through space...or stayed where I was...or didn't exist in the first place...."

Until I read that I thought the line was "I was blinded by a pair of eyes." LOL

I believe everyone is familiar with this one:

Manfred Mann's Earth Band - Blinded by the Light

Actual: Revved up like a deuce

Heard: Wrapped up like a douche

Listening to the song, I still don't think there is any way he isn't singing "douche"

and when they sing "hurry boy it's waiting there for you" I always heard "three boys is waiting there for you" - I know it's gramatically incorrect and that was always bothering me when I was a kid LOL

Not particularly funny but on ELP's 'KE9 3rd impression' I always heard ''Guardians of a new clear dawn'' as ''Guardians of a nuclear zone''.

also going back a good few years there was a DJ on local radio in Nottingham called Graham Neal who was convinced that ELP had paid homage to him in KE9 (the bit with ''Pray and kneel'' Tongue )
