This is not the first time a thread about making prog compilations has been created. However, what about making a 1 CD compilation (under 80 min of music, ofcourse) in which every song is in a different language? What would you put in it? From the few prog songs that I know which are not in English I would go with:
- Italian: Dopo... Niente E'Più Lo Stesso, by Banco del Mutuo Soccorsso.
- French: Depuis l'Automne, by Harmonium.
- Spanish: La Poderosa Muerte, by Los Jaivas.
- Portuguese: Último Entardecer, by Bacamarte.
- Swedish: Kung Bore, by Anglagard.

- English: Epitaph, by King Crimson.

However, I don't know any prog songs in so many other languages... which would make you CD?

Gotta get some Japanese in there. Something by After Dinner, maybe?

Also German! I'm racking my brains for a Krautrock band that actually sang in German...

I don´t like German language in Prog. And one of my polls confirmed my opinion by the others.

Czech: Už Jsme Doma - "Tíha" (4:49)
French: Arachnoïd -  "Le Chamadère" (13:51)
Italian: Cirque du Soleil - "Alegría" (5:50)
Slovenian: Terra Mystica - "Irska-Carsica" (4:23)
Vonlenska (Hopelandic): Sigur Rós - track 1 from "( )" (6:38)
Danish: Tømrerclaus - "En Dag Da Jeg Lå I Luften" (3:18)
German: Angizia - "Kapitel III - Vom Spiel Der Leisen Fragen. Wie Schäle Ich Den Augapfel" (8:40)
Hungarian: Age of Nemesis - "Negy Tükör" (6:58)
Swedish: Landberk - "I Nattens Timma" (4:28)
Icelandic: Björk - "Vökuró" (3:14)
Japanese: My Neighbour Totoro (OST) - "となりのトトロ(Tonari no Totoro)" (4:17)
Hindi/Punjabi: Bride and Prejudice (OST) - "Punjabi Wedding Song" (5:33)

...that's probably enough trawling of my movie collection LOL

Novalis of course (categorized on this site as symphonic prog):

Ok, they barely sing and not very special, but it's german Wink!
And as I already said in another thread, I think that prog sounds great in any language, even in Klingon....

Which is why all the great Krautrock bands sang in something other than German most of the time.

Kobaïan - The Last Seven Minutes - Magma
Yoshidan - Grembo Zavia - Koenjihyakkei
English - Dirty Boy - The Cardiacs
French - Eskaton - Eskaton
Italian - La Mela di Odessa - Area
Whatever language it is that Samla Mammas Manna sing in (I assume Swedish?) - Syster System
German - Die Hoch-Zeit - Sergius Golowin

That's a good ~65 minutes, good enough for me.
