Topic: An Impossible Poll Posted: August 07 2010 at 02:25 |
This is not the typical Genesis vs. Yes vs. Pink Floyd vs. Jethro Tull poll. This is a list of albums by bands not as widely known as those, but very highly praised on the site by its reviewers. Of course we could have included a million more of this kind on the list, but anyway I think it is a pretty cool one. Pick your favorite out of these, if you can.
P.S.: Feel free to vote even though you haven't heard all of them. I haven't heard them all either (13 out of 25)

I've only heard Bubu, Bronzo and Beyond. Out of these I'm going to have to throw my lot with the first.

Heard 22. Voted Comus. People always include the wrong Gnidrolog album.

Of Gnidrolog I do own their 3 albums, so I stand by my choice (even though In Spite Of Harry's Toenail is pretty good as well, and Gnosis, being their weakest, still has its moments).

Why an impossible poll? I see you managed to post and, and people are voting. I went with Boris.

Of those, the ones I don't have are:
Jan Dukes de Grey Solaris Captain Beyond Pavlov's Dog
Of the ones I have, Museo Rosenbach would probably be my favourite, but what a great list of albums there.

Jan Dukes de Grey. But hey, this poll is indeed impossible. How can I vote aganst Kahn, Comus and Grobschnitt. Some albums I don't own are high on my list for new purchases.

It's tight between Anabelas, First Utterance and Eros. Not an easy choice, I went with Anabelas just because I love the cover so much, but these three albums are pretty much equally brilliant in my ears. Other great ones from this list include: Måltid, Les Morts Von Vite, Boris and UZED.

There is only tfour I hacen't heard (Cid, Crimson, Solaris and SBB), but still this poll is indeed impossible.
There are at least 10 albums (12 in fact) I consider absolutely wonderful and essential
So I won't vote

Space Shanty. First Utterance isn't far behind, though.
