Topic: The Power to Believe / De-Loused in the Comatorium Posted: August 28 2010 at 17:28 |
Both 2003 releases, both eclectic in style, and both 21st Century "surprises".
Which album do you prefer?
P.S. We know your vote Walter, no need to comment

De-Loused, by far. My top album of the decade.
Power to Believe is also excellent, I like it a lot.

I don't bow to censorship, Pablo. Anyhoo, the album of the decade by the premier progressive outfit or some kids with a xerox mentality? Mister, I'll take the real thing any day.

I like power to beleive, but De loused is possibly my favorite album off all time. That is probably one the best albums to come out in recent times.

While I don't exactly agree with his opinion of the Mars Volta's xerox mentality, I'm not a big fan of them either, though I used to be and De-Loused was my favorite of their albums. Now, though, my vote has to go to The Power to Believe.

De-Loused for sure - The Mars Volta's masterpiece. TPTB was a nice surprise, but KC was well past their prime.

Do you cry yourself to sleep at night knowing you weren't even a twinkle in your fathers eye when this fantasy renaissance era was taking place? How many of your idols have you seen front stage in their heyday? Oh, that's right ... Zero, zip, zilch, nada!
