A continuation of the wildly popular Van Der Poll Generator series. Hammill will be next.

The question is which album features your favourite work from Nic Potter. Interpret that how you will. While Potter remains not the most obvious member of Van Der Graaf Generator, his contributions to the above albums include:

Bass on The Least We Can Do Is Wave To Each Other
Plus electric guitar on Whatever Would Robert Have Said

Bass on the songs Killer, The Emperor In His War Room and Lost off H To He Who Am The Only One

Bass on The Quiet Zone/The Pleasure Dome

Bass on Vital

---

Over, NBC, The K Group and anything else miscellaneous I'm not including here but if there are any exceptional performances by Potter on something that isn't here (VDGy or not), feel free to mention them.

Interesting that there are so many votes for H to He... to be honest, I've always felt his bass parts were rather low in the mix compared to Banton's two hooks and the rather fiercer bass volume on The Least We Can Do and Vital would've made those the obvious choices.

I'm going to give all the albums another listen prior to voting... as a precursor I absolutely love the bass parts on The Least We Can Do even though I'm ambivalent towards the album as a whole.

Even though H to He is my favorite VDGG album, I like Nic Potters bass work on The Least We Can Do is Wave to Each Other better.

Close between Vital and H to He (which I do agree its painfully unobvious theres bass on).

I'll give it to Vital nontheless.

H to He wins this poll but isn't that more for the music? I've never noticed the bass much there.
My vote goes to The Quiet Zone where he is a more important part of the sound.
