I just stumbled across some tracks from a band called "The Deadlight Effect", and was wondering if they have a place in Prog Archives. They are from Nevada, and have an album called "Omniscience".
http://www.myspace.com/thedeadlighteffectca As for what genre teams may be interested, I suppose tech/extreme prog, heavy prog, or possibly experimental may want to check them out. I'm not sure if they are/were on a record label, so that may affect their inclusion. Edit: Here's more info about the band. Apparently their first release was done through Maritime Records http://post-engineering.blogspot.com/2010/03/album-deadlight-effect-omniscience.html Edited by Stooge - October 23 2010 at 14:29 |

The samples are quite weird... Maybe because they're "unmixed". The first one sounds like post-metal, the other like more standard (prog)metal. I'll ask the PMT for an evaluation.

I believe their entire album is up on Youtube. I think one or two of those songs is on their with a better mix.
