Will Smith can at least, sort of, act.
Tom Cruise is, and always has been, awful in everything.

I'm surprised that neither one hasn't started a 24 hr Scientology cable channel.

Not entirely.  He did marry a hot chick. LOL

I never did watch the Fresh Prince of Foul Air, but I find Will more appealing.

I didn't know Will Smith was into Scientology.

Dang it, you just ruined him for me.

Voted for him anyway. At least he's had the decency to avoid public displays of insanity.

*spits on you*

Tom Cruise has not put together one decent acting effort his entire career.  Will Smith can at least hold his own in comedic roles, if nothing else.

Time always wins.

I think they can both act quite well. You guys are too particular. Not everyone acts in that hammy, shakespearean way anymore.

Oh yeah, and they're both also complete nutjobs outside of their careers.

Tom Cruise was amazing in Magnolia, the P.T. Anderson epic - but overall Will Smith is easier to watch.

I'd rather have Will Smith as friend, and I'd rather have Will Smith as spiritual advisor, and I'd rather have him as pretty much anything short of schizophrenia tutor...

Will Smith

Used to not think much of him as an actor, and while he may not be the best I've actually grown to like him.

Cruise, well he aint bad but can't say I've really been wowed ever.

As for personal things, don't give a crap. Nor do I know them personally.
So yeah, Smith is the better actor for sure.

After all these years TC finally played an entertaining character in "Tropic Thunder". But he stands out as half responsible for actually making a Stanley Kubrick movie suck.

WS is by far the better entertainer.
