Topic: Jethro Tull Collage Appreciation By Darksideof Posted: November 11 2010 at 12:13 |
Stand up! This Was a Benefit for a Thick As a Passion Play.
In between having a baby boy ( Abel Gabriel Adames) on Nov 1 (a true lovely gift from God), moving to a new apartment. I managed to finish the very long waited Jethro Tull collage. it took me forever. As my other works I worked very hard to create this collage. I tried so hard so it can be unique from the others, but within the same style. An artist regardless what he or she does his style is very important and it has to be recognizable. I am saying this because I all ready heard that my collages are all the same. Specially since I created The PA banner and Header some of the PA members that dislike my collages came out to the light and had tried to vaporize my collages distasteful comments. It isn't that I only want to hear positive comments or I want everyone to go nuts about them , but I share them with you guys because basically"I" pretty positive that you guys will appreciate the hard work i put to these collages (and hopefully like), as you had in the past years really. Let me remind you guys once again. I don't get pay to make these collages. I make them from my pure and genuine love for prog bands that the rock world of today had really forgotten. Bands like Jethro Tull, You turn on the cable box, change it to VH1 classic and you will notice bands like Jethro Tull are highty ignored. when the band sold 100,000 of Records in 70's, had 11 gold and
five platinum albums.
Once again I am hoping that you guys appreciate this collages as you had in the past. Your comment are highly appreciated it. Abel Adames.

Awesome! But... what's the guy on the motorcycle in the very left side? In the middle (vertically). I don't recognize it.

That Kangaroo should be writing for PA. He's even smarter than Skippy although I think Skippy defused a thermal nuclear tactical device on one episode.
Nice work!

By the way, that is nice and congrats on not having your one for the masthead taken down. I still like it even though I liked one of your alternates better.

Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

I think I already mentioned it in the thread on it. I don't know it by name, if it actually has one. It was more spacey and didn't seem to get too specific with images from artist's album covers. And of course I would be remiss if I didn't pass on congrats for your new child.

Nice job as always. I love how made some of the pics to look like billboards on the building and the paper cutout pics are super cool. The border is also nice as well.
