Topic: Exit Stage Left 30-minute Prog Masterpiece Posted: November 27 2010 at 16:35 |
Just went for a run and listened to Rush's "Exit Stage Left". I have spun this recording more times than I can count, but I never noticed the sequence of Jacob's Ladder>Broon's Bane>The Trees>Xanadu. There is really no break between the four songs, and it makes for an amazing 30 minute live Rush effort.
Wish they would play the sequence again... any else every picked up on this sequence? Amazing.

Uh..yeah...first time I heard it.
Correction. Jacobs Ladder is on the end of side 2 I think and the rest is side 3. So there is no actual link with the first song. Different concert entirely. Th rest though..yes.

He called Quadrophenia boring and unmemorable

Credibility issues already!

Yea, not a big The Who fan, they just never did for me, so if you didn't like my "Quad" review, you'll probably hate my upcoming "Tommy" review.
Not trying to be overly self-promoting or to de-rail this thread anymore, but I welcome anyone's comments on my site. The site's brand new, and it's set up so you can comment on my reviews with or without registering. So, I'd love your opinions on the "Quad" and to hear what I'm missing... negative comments are always more fun than positive comments anyway, which is all i have right now.
I love this site, so I will start posting my prog reviews here as well.

Don't diss Tommy. The monkey wouldn't like it Seriously, I look forward to seeing your reviews on this site based upon what I've seen on yours. Regrettably, I won't have the time to post comments on your reviews on your site. I spend far too much bloody time on here for that
