There's more luck involved in scrabble with which letters you get, so I prefer chess but like both.

I would take a game of Draughts over both anyday.

Scrabble. Haven't played it in quite a while, though.

I prefer Chess, but I'm actually good at scrabble.

I'm a chess coach...which means I'm good enough to teach grade schoolers, and beat people who don't play competitively. But I'm pretty mediocre among real players. But I've loved the game for a very long time.

Scrabble is fine to pass the time.

I prefer Scrabble, though I get a tad irritated with people who think its well within the confines of the game to thumb through a dictionary for anything other than a challenge. Kind of defeats the point of the game.

Scrabble.

Chess is fun too. Used to play a fair bit back when I was young. Never really that good, but still fun.

I love Scrabble and play quite well. Chess bores me and I suck at it. I don't have enough patience to think my moves or the opponent's.

Not sure whether I like them equally, but I like both. You also can't really compare them, since in Scrabble there's a big element of chance.

BTW: I've been playing Scrabble on the iPad a lot lately ... against the computer. It's a bit difficult, since I play it in English which isn't my first language - but it's a nice challenge.
