That´s really interesting, how many cover tracks we can find between prolific Yes work. It´s unusual, indeed and any parallel in Prog rock is appearing perhaps only in Manfred Mann´s Earth Band...

...and it's amazing how much fun most of these are! "America" is one of my favourite early Yes tracks (even though I can't stand Paul Simon), but the original studio version of "Something's Coming" (now a bonus track on the band's first album) may even be the best thing they did before THE YES ALBUM: simply astonishing, bursting with vitality! (Having said all that, I also love the crazy jamming on "Every Little Thing"...)

I voted for Every Little Thing. I actually heard the Yes version before the Beatles original.

Hope people realize that Paul Simon is a brilliant song writer and Yes do a fantastic job on America.

I picked Every Little Thing, because I know this song much longer than America (which regrettably hasn´t been available on ordinary Yes albums). Thus let´s say America is my second choice by a nose, following by I See You and No Opportunity.

America was available on Yesterdays, though I don't think that's ever been released on CD. It's now available on the most recent remaster of Fragile.

I hope you can get that FRAGILE remaster, Gandalff, because not only is America on it, but FRAGILE itself also sounds ten times clearer and more exciting than on previous CD versions!

I´m always hoping the version by one of the biggest Prog bands MUST BE BETTER- for every genuine Prog fan - than original.
 
The same is valid about America or, last but not least, Every Little Thing.

That's a matter of opinion. I'm a big fan of the Byrds as well, but a bigger fan of Yes and I would say that I prefer the Yes version of "America" over Simon and Garfunkel.
 
BTW, what is a genuine prog fan?Confused
