Hi,
Got to admit that I am surprised ...
I have always thought that YETI was one of the best albums out there ... and there has never been a time when I have not been able to listen to it, and not loved it, or played it again!
It is weird that "Live in London" has not been mentioned ... it is all Yeti and Dance of the Lemmings material, if I remember it correctly and it is an excellent album and concert! The band was tight in those days, or at leat, they made sure that London saw the best they had to offer!

Made In Germany is their masterpiece. Hijack is one of my faves. Carnival In Babylon as well. Renate added a dimension to the band that was lost after she left.
I just googled Made In Germany and a found a downloading site that is using my Made In Germany review from 2004.
I love all of their albums up to Made in Germany - which I think gets too much flack for not sounding more out there or more like the old albums. They were just doing something different thatīs all...
I voted for Yeti, because of its beautiful way of knitting the musicians together into one giant metaphysical ball of yarn - individually expressing themselves, but somehow coming together in that special zone, which every progressive musician should stride for - where the music almost creates itself, and you are reduced to an instrument yourself and the music flows natural like a river and takes new form.

Have heard most but not everything on the list. I'd give my nod to Yeti if they'd Leti vote.
Close seconds to Vive la Trance and Hijack - very different from the earlier albums, yet very good nonetheless. Too bad so many folks dis these because they're different, but they're quite creative and fun nonetheless.

I have both Nada Moonshine # . and utopia on CD and the BBC Live CD , Nada Moonshine i really dont much like at all Utopia is Ok and the BBC Live CD is Rather good to but not as good as Live In London .

Must gets, also include Lothar Meid's solo album 18 Karat Gold - All Bums ... and then we can play "If my guru would know" for Dean a few times!
Now if I can get the band to get me a poster of the Wolf City cover, I can die happy!

It might be easier to listen to, since it is something that you close your eyes and just go with ... AD2, is almost exclusively not about that, and the lyrics got pointed and very powerful. Mozambique (Vive La Trance) has lyrics that are down right vicious. Apocaliptyc Bore is almost too sci-fi a la grok style ... difficult to let go and figure out ... but we know one thing ... after the jam is over ... the AD2 that we knew ... is over.
AD1, did not "write" anything. They just played! And all we're hearing is the jams, and nothing else. And I'm not sure that the listing of musicians is even correct or proper since one is hearing a lot more than the folks listed!
I suppose that one could say, it had its time, it had its place. I will never say it is not "good" ... it's an enjoyable listen ... but it is showing its time and place ... and I am not sure that it has stood up very well otherwise as "music" ... it is an "experience" ... and that is not always "music". That's my best way to explain and express it.
